FECCLAHA supported the ECC-South Kivu Youth Peace Club to undertake a Youth Peace Clubs Forum in Bukavu, South Kivu.This was organised by the ECC Federation of youth from the Protestant churches. In addition to engaging in arts (music) for peace and social cohesion, the youth engaged in a debate facilitated by a trainer. As a result of this forum, the Youth Peace Clubs established 4 Youth Peace Clubs in Mwenga, Uvira, and Walungu. The youth also gained knowledge and skills on how to utilize the YPCs in promoting peace and social cohesion in the community. Currently, the Federation of Young people from Protestant churches in South Kivu have a total number of 43 Peace Clubs with a total membership of 1,425 young people (849 boys & 576 girls).
